Griffith Meals on Wheels Inc is a participant of the Commonwealth Home Support Program, providing services to frail aged persons, their carers and disadvantaged groups for either a short term or for longer periods.
Clients receive a tasty, nutritious meal delivered by volunteers who have time for a friendly chat. The service works to meet the individual needs, including dietary, medical condition, language, physical ability and personal taste, of clients.
kilograms of food is rescued by Hampers of Hope in the Griffith area per day.
hampers are made per week and distributed to the community.
Currently Hampers of Hope collects approximately 320 kilograms of food per day, which equates to approximately 116 hampers per week. These hampers go directly to disadvantaged members of the community.
Griffith Meals on Wheels Inc acknowledges the Wiradjuri people as the traditional owners of the land on which we operate our service. We welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to our Service.
